This T.E.N Tours Egypt pioneered
by Explore more than 20 years ago - includes a 3-day sail through
Upper Egypt by traditional 'felucca' sailboat. We explore the
great temples of Karnak and Edfu, and enjoy a donkey trek to the
Valley of the Kings.
Pyramids &
Aswan
Beginning in Cairo, we visit the Great Pyramids at Giza and the
enigmatic Sphinx. Then head by overnight train to the colourful
and easy-going town of Aswan, located on the first Nile cataract.
From here you can take an optional excursion to the famous rock-cut
temple of Abu Simbel, 3000 years old and dedicated to the pharaoh
Ramses II.
3-Day Felucca Sailtrek
Setting
sail at a relaxed pace we continue by Nile felucca, the ideal
way of getting to know the river and its people). As well as
observing life in the many small villages and farms along the
way, we stop to visit the monumental temples of Kom Ombo and
Edfu. The pace of our sail trek is dictated by wind and river
conditions, so our nightspots are flexible.
Luxor - Ancient Thebes
We
drive to Luxor, the site of ancient Thebes, to discover the richest
concentration of archaeological wonders in the western world -
and a place where the sky is always pure blue! We explore the
Great Temple of Amun at Karnak and organize a donkey trek along
an ancient route to the Valley of the Kings - the painted gallery
of pharaohs' tombs.

Imagine,
a
private candlelit dinner on your room's balcony overlooking the
great pyramids, the seventh wonder of the world.
a nighttime sail on the Nile in your own crewed Felucca complete
with a gourmet dinner, romantic music and the reflections of the
lights of metropolitan Cairo dancing on the water
A
land of Enchantment with history unique to the world, Egypt offers
honeymoon and anniversary couples the perfect setting. We are
specialists in planning trips for people who want adventure and
interactive trips or those who prefer seclusion and quiet times
to celebrate their union, whether it is recent or the 50th anniversary.
What better way to reconfirm your love than by experiencing one
of our special programs featuring ceremonies in a Pharaonic, Nubian
or Bedouin style or perhaps a sunrise vow with Biblical overtones
at the top of Mt. Sinai. Perhaps you would prefer a romantic ceremony
performed by a 5 star Nile cruiser's Captain at sunset on the
river of eternity.
The
Pharaonic ceremony takes place in Cairo at the Pharaonic Village,
a living history museum/entertainment park where you will be costumed
in clothing similar to that worn by the Pharaohs and will enjoy
a torch lit procession as any King and Queen deserve. The ceremony
will take place in a temple that has been featured in films and
afterward a royal barge can take you for a short ride to let your
subjects wish you happiness and good fortune in your union.

The Nubian ceremony takes place in the heart of Nubia, Aswan.
Here you will enjoy dressing in their style with Nubian artisans
assisting you with your "Henna" designs. These temporary
tattoos have been worn by brides from this area for hundreds of
years. You can be entertained by a dinner party complete with
whirling dervish and a belly dancer (private lessons can be arranged
should you desire to learn this ancient erotic art). A horse drawn
carriage can take you to the Old Cataract Hotel to enjoy a drink
on their verandah as the sun sets over the western desert. Perched
on a hill overlooking the Nile this 1880's grand dame property
has been the home for famous guests ranging from Princess Diana
to Agatha Christie (who lived at the hotel while writing her famous
novel "Death on the Nile"). Perhaps a special dinner
at the fabulous 1902 restaurant then return to your honeymoon
suite overlooking the Nile.
The Bedouin ceremony is in the Sinai. You will experience life
as the Bedouin live it including camping in the desert at a famous
Biblical oasis. A special dinner

prepared
by natives plus a night of desert entertainment await.
Stand at the crest of the mountain where God gave Moses the 10
Commandments and watch the sun rise. No where else in the world
could you have this experience.
Enjoy a first class 5 star Nile cruise with the added pleasure
of being united by the Captain as you cruise between Aswan and
Luxor. Sunset on the fantail is the perfect setting for a romantic
meeting of the minds.
Only in Egypt can you experience thrills like these that will
be fondly recalled for a lifetime.
Please introduce yourself to our classic tour "The Pharaohs
Nile" which is a great base to use for a honeymoon. With
the addition of honeymoon suites and other specially added touches
this is a great way to experience the history of Egypt and to
have a wonderful time.
